My students LOVED this lesson! At our school we have STEAM as an enrichment class (STEAM is STEM with Art included). I have enjoyed watching my students create their robot masterpieces!

This activity was a hit!! The ideas they have to solve pollution are wonderful! This photo is a photo of a turtle robot that cleans up plastic and stores it in the belly until scientist empty it!

The teamwork learned and displayed in these lessons is priceless! This particular robot swims in the ocean and filters polluted water!

Each group presented after the lesson, as this builds presentation skills and forces them to really think about how their robot will work and solve issues. This group developed a trash picker upper! It attaches to the back of a bike or skateboard and collects trash! “This way you get exercise, have fun and save the planet!” Their exact words!
